The interim head coach of the New York Red Bulls II is named as Ibrahim Sekagya.
NEW JERSEY (July 2, 2022) – For the balance of the 2022 USL Championship season, Ibrahim Sekagya will serve as the interim head coach of the New York Red Bulls II.
Former Ugandan football player Ibrahim Sekagya was a center-back.
With Red Bulls II, Sekagya is in his seventh season as an assistant coach. During that time, he has presided over three games as head coach.
After 33 appearances for the team, the former New York Red Bulls defender announced his retirement in 2015.
Prior to that, he played for Red Bull Salzburg for six seasons during which time he won three Austrian Bundesliga championships and one Austrian Cup win.
On Saturday, July 9, at 8:00 p.m. ET, Louisville City FC will visit New York Red Bulls II.
