I dream of winning Uganda her first Grammy – Grenade
The singer who rose to the limelight with “Nkuloga” made the promise while premiering his new collabo with Lydia Jazmine titled “Feeling” on NBS TV After 5 show.
Singer Deus Nduggwa, popularly known as Grenade Official, has joined the long list of local musicians who have promised to win Uganda her first Grammy Award.
The singer who rose to the limelight with “Nkuloga” made the promise while premiering his new collabo with Lydia Jazmine titled “Feeling” on NBS TV After 5 show.
Grenade surprised his fans when he stated that he has for long had a dream of bringing Uganda a Grammy, something no local artist has done before. He joined the likes of Lydia Jazmine, Crysto Panda, and Big Tril who have in the past revealed dreams of winning Uganda that maiden Grammy. While giving his view about the Ugandan music industry, Grenade drew comparison to that of the Tanzanians and Nigerians.
He noted that the above said industries are not better than Uganda’s and that Ugandans just need to believe in themselves and support one another.
I have a dream of bringing a Grammys to Uganda because no one has done that yet.
Besides, the likes of Wizkids and Diamond Platnumz are not better us in many aspects. So, we just need to believe in ourselves.
