Second group of Israeli and foreign detainees turned over to Red Cross, according to Hamas

Jerusalem, Israel | BAZZUP | In a late-Saturday statement, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that it has given the Red Cross control over the second set of Israeli and foreign hostages.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated in a post on its X account that a total of 17 hostages—13 Israelis and four Thais—have crossed into Egypt and are their route to Israel.

The 17 individuals represent the second set of hostages returned to Israel in return for Palestinian detainees. The meeting was supposed to start at 4 p.m. local time (1400 GMT) on Saturday, but it was postponed for a few hours after Hamas accused Israel of not living up to the conditions of a four-day humanitarian cease-fire that the two sides had agreed upon on Wednesday following over six weeks of brutal fighting.
