Legon Cities 2-0 Great Olympics
After defeating Accra Great Olympics on game day 6 of the Ghana Premier League, Legon Cities is back on the winning track. Friday afternoon’s match between the Royals and the Dade boys at the El-Wak Sports Stadium resulted in a 2-0 victory for the home team.
Michel Otou scored the game’s first goal from the penalty spot in the 42nd minute, and Mohammed Suleman added a second in the 60th to give Maxwell Konadu’s team their third victory of the year.
Kotoku Royals lose to King Faisal 2-1.
On Friday at the Baba Yara Stadium, King Faisal defeated Oda Kotoku Royals 2-1 to earn their first victory of the 2022–23 Ghana Premier League. Adom Antwi’s header of a feed from Abednego Tetteh gave the Insha Allah boys the lead in the 27th minute.
Abednego Tetteh, a former Accra Hearts of Oak attacker, doubled the advantage for King Faisal in the second half from the penalty spot before Kotoku Royals scored their equalizer in the 85th minute.
Asante Kotoko defeats Medeama SC 1-0.
Asante Kotoko, the defending Ghana Premier League winners, are back on the winning track after defeating Medeama Sporting club 1-0 on Saturday at the Tarkwa Akoon Park.
The Porcupine Warriors scored a solidarity goal from Nicholas Mensah to secure the three points, bringing Medeama’s record to four losses.
Accra Lions defeat Bechem United 1-0.
Accra Lions maintained their strong start to the season at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem, defeating Bechem United 1-0 after a spirited battle. The Accra-based team won all three points on Sunday at Nana Gyeabour’s Park thanks to a lone goal from Fredrick Asante in the game’s 44th minute.
With 15 points after the victory, Accra Lions move to the top of the standings, two points ahead of Asante Kotoko, who won 1-0 over Medeama on Saturday.
Dreams FC 2-1 Nsoatreman FC
Following their loss at Nana Konamansah Park on Sunday, Dreams FC has now lost three games in a row in the Ghana Premier League. Frederick Boateng of Nsoatreman scored twice in the first half, once in the 27th minute and once in the 44th, to seal the victory for the rookies.
Dede Ishmael scored a goal for the visitors in the 76th minute, but it wasn’t enough for Ignatius Osei Fosu’s team to get a point.
