FUFA suspends UPL matches following Museveni’s ban on sports
FUFA has postponed all Startimes Uganda Premier League matches that were scheduled for this weekend, over Covid-19.
Organization of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has delayed all Startimes Uganda Premier League coordinates with that were planned during the current end of the week, over Covid-19.
“FUFA wishes to declare that elite player Times UPL matches booked for Saturday nineteenth June 2021 and Sunday twentieth June 2021 have been delayed. FUFA will give further direction on the excess match days sooner rather than later. It is Our Game, It is Our Country,” FUFA expressed through their authority Twitter account.
The advancement follows a mandate made by President Yoweri Museveni on Friday to stop all games exercises for 42 days as the nation attempts to contain the rising instances of lethal COVID-19.
During his discourse, Museveni said chapels, mosques, and sports meetings are congregating settings and are a source that powers quick infection transmission.
“All spots of love and games stay suspended for 42 days,” he said in a proclamation.
With each club staying with just four games to play, it stays muddled if FUFA will apply the 75% limit rule to announce this current season’s bosses. Last season, Vipers SC were granted the title on premise of the standard.
