Some local competitions are preparing for positions on the log in Guinea’s top division championship as the FIFA break draws near.
The third day of Guinean League 1 had three games on the schedule. Hafia FC, who played AS Kaloum, could only manage a draw (1-1).
But just before halftime, Mouctar Gackou had given the home team the lead (42nd mn). Following the break, AS Kaloum made an effort and eventually succeeded in regaining the lead through Aboubacar Conté’s penalty kick in the 65th minute.
By winning on the road at Wakriya AC, SOAR Académie performed well for the day (0-1).
Ibrahima Sylla scored the game’s single goal. The SOAR Academy team, which has three victories in as many games, keeps up the series and defeats its victim, who suffers a third straight loss.
With these results, Flamme Olympique can move up to the top spot in the ranking, where they will receive 9 points, ahead of SOAR Academy, who will receive the same number of points.
