AS V.Club of Kinshasa keeps up its spotless record in the Vodacom Ligue 1 championship in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Black Dolphins defeated Etoile du Kivu on Sunday for their fourth victory in as many games (2-0). In the 46th minute, Kikwama Mujinga gave the green and black team of Kinshasa the lead before Marouf Tchakei doubled the advantage in extra time.
Following three victories by the slimmest of margins in their first three games, this is V.Club’s first victory by more than one goal (1-0). With 12 points after this win, AS V.Club is now in first place in the league, ahead of FC Blessing’s 11 points.
The following Sunday in Likasi, US Tshinkunku defeated US Panda to earn its second straight away victory (2-1).
The Crows of Kananga are currently among the top five teams in the competition. With 9 points, they are fourth. CS Don Bosco defeated AS Simba on Saturday (1-0). With 7 points, Les Salésiens are currently in fifth place.
