Erik ten Hag, the manager of Man United, receives a warning from Ferguson Favorite notwithstanding Trophy Victory

Even though Manchester United recently ended their trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup, Erik ten Hag, the team's head coach, has been urged to maintain high expectations for his squad. Former Manchester United player Mikael Silvestre, who enjoys great esteem among the team's supporters, including iconic former coach Sir Alex Ferguson, thinks that winning a single trophy does not imply that the team is perfect. Silvestre feels that ten Hag must keep instilling in his team a winning mentality.

With goals from Casemiro and Marcus Rashford in February, Manchester United defeated Newcastle United 2-0 to end a six-year trophy drought. Since winning the FA Cup and Europa League in the 2016–17 season while Jose Mourinho was their head coach, they haven’t won a trophy until this triumph at Wembley.

Former Manchester United player Mikael Silvestre, who won the Champions League and Premier League four times under Sir Alex Ferguson during his nine-year stay with the club, is currently employed as a pundit. By moving forward and getting the most out of the players, he hopes that Ten Hag’s club may follow in the footsteps of United’s “golden generation” in terms of success. Silvestre advises Ten Hag to make use of the the ideal tactics to inspire and test his team.

Even if you win one award, not everything must be perfect. It is exactly that. As a spokesperson for Betting Expert, Silvestre told Express Sport that consistency and maintaining a high level are essential.

There is no other option. You cannot fast-forward. There is no quick fix. And the harder it is when you believe you have arrived.

“You must keep the players under pressure during practice and competition; you must be strict, and the players must give their best effort. They will be beaten if they don’t.

Erik ten Hag has significantly transformed Manchester United since taking over for interim coach Ralf Rangnick in the summer, with extremely excellent results. The club’s supporters have appreciated the attention-grabbing signings of Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez, and Ten Hag’s most stunning success has been Marcus Rashford’s regeneration, as seen by his 26 goals across all competitions.

United had been battling on all four fronts up to their recent 7-0 loss to Liverpool, showing the extraordinary progress they had made under Ten Hag’s direction.

With their defense failing to stop the lethal combination of Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, and Cody Gakpo, who scored a combined six goals, Manchester United was humiliated by Liverpool. Erik ten Hag therefore criticized his players as “unprofessional”

Even if the FA Cup and Europa League are still possible trophy chances, the team’s recent performance has been underwhelming. With 11 games remaining in the season, Casemiro’s red card during their goalless draw against struggling Southampton has made their previously secure top-four status seem more precarious. With the Brazilian midfielder now serving a four-game suspension, it will be difficult for United to finish the season strong.

But, Silvestre has downplayed concerns that the Liverpool result will unsettle their campaign. When asked what problems Ten Hag’s squad is facing, the Frenchman responded that they simply need to establish consistency.

In my opinion, nothing [with Ten Hag] is incorrect, he continued. “As I just mentioned, the consistency is what it is. You cannot even somewhat unwind in that division.

“You may lose to anyone. As the most recent result demonstrated, Liverpool defeated Manchester United before losing to Bournemouth. United defeated Barcelona before falling to Liverpool.
