Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira are still waiting for their prize money from the 2019 EAGT.

Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira, siblings, have yet to receive the prize money they received during the East Africa Got Talent (EAGT) competition in 2019.

Esther and Ezekiel took home the top prize of $50,000 for exhibiting their extraordinary musical talent at the EAGT performance in Nairobi, Kenya in 2019.

Covid-19 hit the world the same year, putting several countries on lockdown and bringing the music industry to a halt.

Now that the economy is improving, the gifted couple has risen to claim their award money, which they claim was never paid.

The duo expressed their dissatisfaction with the same issue in February of 2020, but were assured that it would be resolved.

Esther and Ezekiel, who are now living in the United States with their mother Julie Birungi, appeared in a Facebook video demanding that their money be paid.

They claim they have not received any communication from the EAGT organizers or even their management regarding their prize money.

We haven’t received our money from the previous ‘East African Got Talent’ competition in two years.

We haven’t heard from our supervisors either; they haven’t called or communicated with us.

The EAGT has yet to issue a comment or respond in any way to the duo’s allegations. We’ll have to wait and watch how this plays out.
