DPP drops charges against Museveni secretary blamed for threatening EC to give occupations to her family members

The Director of Public Prosecutions has dropped charges against Caroline Kembabazi, President Museveni’s private secretary who was being blamed for giving bogus data to the Electoral Commission in a bid to get occupations for her three family members in the establishment.

In a pull out structure offered to the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s court, the DPP, Jane Frances showed that the state had lost interest for the situation and subsequently dropped the charges.

“This is to illuminate court that the Director of Public Prosecutions has chosen to end procedures against Caroline Kembabazi accused of giving bogus data halfway to area 115(a)of the Penal Code Act,” the withdrawal structure by the DPP says.

Kembabazi, 32, an occupant of Kireka in Kiira Division of Wakiso locale was last year the State House Anti Corruption Unit.

Her difficulty began when one of the senior staffs in the Electoral Commission’s human asset office requested the State House Anti Corruption’s mediation after Kembabazi purportedly threatened and compressed them to give occupations to her family members.

It was accounted for that Kembabazi actually raged the workplaces and took steps to make a move against the EC human asset office authorities assuming they would not execute the supposed directions from the president.

She was thus captured and accused of giving bogus data midway to area 115(a)of the Penal Code Act.

Arraignment claimed that among November and December 2020, Kembabazi utilized her position and misled the human asset officials at the Electoral Commission that Museveni had guided her to get occupations for her family members; Kenneth Magezi, Duncan Muramuzi and Elia Abomeire to be conveyed as right hand region enlistment centers though not.

Following the dropping of the charges, Kembabazi depicted it as a murmur of help however demanded it was mafia behind her burdens.

“What will I render Jehoval as He has done as such particularly to me. Many thanks my designating authority President Museveni for liberating me from these state mafia who never wish youthful frameworks to develop,” Kembabazi tweeted.
