Details About Major Gen. Loketch’s Death Emerge

More information about the sad death of Deputy Inspector General of Police continues to emerge.
Gen. Loketch died on Saturday morning at his residence in Kira, according to the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and Police.

According to UPDF spokesperson Brig Flavia Byekwaso, a previous medical assessment pointed to cardiovascular issues.

Gen Loketch, who had been working from home for the past two weeks, was feeling fine this morning and getting ready to depart when the attack began, according to Byekwaso.

In an interview with an NTV journalist, Byekwaso said, “This morning he entered the bathroom and contacted his wife complaining that he couldn’t breathe.”

According to the wife, she summoned medical help, and they both attempted to resuscitate the general in vain, and he died in the toilet.

“A medical person was present, and it was assumed that the General had experienced a blood clot based on what was witnessed, such as shortness of breath,” Byekwaso stated.

Bregadier General Pecos Kutesa died earlier this week in India, bringing the total number of deceased soldiers to two in a week.
