St Petersburg, Russia | BAZZUP | According to a Russian specialist, China’s achievements in the aerospace sector are “of great importance to the development of world science and technology.”

“China’s achievements in space exploration are impressive: several crews were successively sent to space; planetary rovers were operating on Mars and the Moon; plenty of satellites of different purposes were successfully launched, including navigation satellites, communication satellites, and meteorological satellites,” Aleksandr Zheleznyakov, a Russian astronautics historian and member of the Tsiolkovsky Russian Academy of Cosmonautics, stated in an interview with Xinhu.

The historian, who has written more than 30 volumes on the history of the aerospace business, claimed that China’s aerospace sector is growing at an astonishing rate.

China has developed into a space power, according to Zheleznyakov. “It (China) has taken steps with confidence and has taken a leading position in many fields of aerospace,” he added.

According to the expert, China is committed to international collaboration on significant and complicated space programs, and its aerospace cooperation with Russia is expanding.

The integration of their worldwide satellite navigation systems, the creation of techniques for removing space trash from the Earth’s orbit, the construction of infrastructure facilities on the ground, and cooperative training of aerospace specialists are all ongoing projects being worked on by the two parties, according to Zheleznyakov.

According to him, bilateral cooperation in space might serve as the foundation for greater international cooperation.

He added that China is a highly alluring partner for many nations in this regard even if many others are ready to participate in space exploration but are unable to carry out their own space projects.
