Chelsea is urged to abandon its pursuit of Raphinha as Barcelona makes a “fresh offer” for the Leeds star.
Raphinha will not be marked by CHELSEA this summer.
According to Chelsea’s former defender Frank Leboeuf, the winger Raphinha of Leeds United shouldn’t be acquired this summer. Raphinha has reportedly received another offer from Barcelona, but Leboeuf doesn’t believe the La Liga team should sign him given the circumstances.
This summer, Chelsea is searching for wide offensive players. Raheem Sterling of Manchester City is also a target because his contract expires in a year.
Leeds has accepted the Blues’ offer of an underlying £55 million for Raphinha. However, they have not yet agreed on specific terms with the 25-year-old.
Barca are also skilled, but their advantage may depend on Ousmane Dembele’s future, who is not in agreement. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims that Barcelona has made Leeds another offer that is still less than what Leeds is seeking for Raphinha.
Leboeuf responded that he wouldn’t need that player when asked which player he would choose if he were the manager of Barcelona. Additionally, he warned Chelsea to stay away from Raphinha, making it clear that he has serious concerns about him as a player.
On ESPN FC, Leboeuf responded: “Could I ever say none? Can I make that work for me?
“I’ve explained what I think about Ousmane Dembele and the inconsistent play he displayed while playing for Barcelona. It’s challenging to predict what will happen with Dembele, but [maybe] after he plays a typical full-time season for Barcelona or another club.
“On Raphinha, I watched him play for Rennes and Leeds with a little bit more consistency. He is an undeniable talent, but he is also someone about whom I have some unanswered questions about Dembele. the regularity of the exhibitions.
Raphinha, according to Leboeuf, is a player similar to Hakim Ziyech. After making only 14 starts in the Premier League last season, Moroccan sensation Ziyech is linked to a move to Serie A giants AC Milan.
