Cameroon is the first African nation to publish its World Cup 2022 roster.

A press conference was previously scheduled for Thursday, November 10, but coach Rigobert Song and the backroom staff made a last-minute change to release the list immediately following the match versus Jamaica.
It was a dramatic conclusion for the Indomitable Lions qualifiers, who endured a difficult two-legged encounter against Algeria, who held a 1-0 lead heading into the second match in Bilda.
Eric Choupo-first-half Moting’s goal forced extra time, but Algeria appeared to have secured a spot in Qatar when Ahmed Touba scored with three minutes remaining on the clock.
Cameroon, however, were not to be denied, as Toko Ekambi scored the game-winning goal to secure an African record-setting eighth appearance in the World Cup, so securing Cameroon’s participation.
Andre Onana, Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa, Vincent Aboubakar, Toko Ekambi, and Choupo Moting retain their positions as team regulars.
Choupo Moting, who started the season as a substitute for Bayern but has scored 10 goals in all competitions, would have Song thanking his lucky stars that he has been able to avoid injury and be in excellent form. Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford will compete for the first time in Cameroon’s colors after choosing them over France. This season, the winger has scored three goals.
Cameroon will play Panama in Abu Dhabi before beginning their tournament against Switzerland on November 24.

Cameroon will look to provide a stern test for World No. 1 side – Brazil in group G, but there will certainly not be an easy ride to the knockout rounds with a tough draw.
