Rivers United of Nigeria has been the target of a grievance from Daring Club Motema Pembe for mistreatment. The Green and White Club of Kinshasa has complained to the African organization about the subpar greeting arrangements made for its delegation upon arrival at the Lagos airport.

All of the delegation’s passports were seized, and they were bullied at immigration until they had to spend the night on the ground. The club from Kinshasa claimed that no precautions were made to protect the Congolese in Lagos and further asked the CAF to punish Rivers United for influencing the outcome through all of these actions.

This game, which was played on the fourth day of the group stage, saw the squad of DCMP lose (3-1) against the opposition. A loss that has put the Kinshasa Green and White team a long way from qualifying for the quarterfinals. The immaculate will play ASEC Mimosas on Sunday, March 19, in Luanda at 19:00 GMT. DCMP is bottom in the group with 2 points, 7 points behind the leader, Rivers United, and 5 points behind the second-place team in the group and its next opponent. Any outcome other than a victory in a match will unquestionably disqualify DCMP from the competition.
