Bobi rallies Acholi to force Museveni to reveal the truth on Lokech death

On Sunday, the opposition leader joined the rest of Ugandans in mourning the General's death and prayed to God to console the General's loved ones.

“Museveni ruined Lockech’s good military career in the last eight months of his life by pitting him against the people,” says Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi Wine.

Many people were startled by the death of Deputy IGP Maj Gen Lokech on Saturday morning, including NUP President Hon Kyagulanyi.

On Sunday, the opposition leader joined the rest of Ugandans in mourning the General’s death and prayed to God to console the General’s loved ones.

Lokech had a distinguished military career, according to Kyagulanyi, but it was tainted in the last eight months of his life, when Gen Museveni nominated him as deputy IGP.

According to Kyagulanyi, Museveni purposefully placed Lokech in direct confrontation with Ugandan civilians, with many being imprisoned, tortured, and killed throughout his term as deputy IGP, particularly after the November 2020 riots.

Kyagulanyi adds that Lockech’s fine military career has come to an end in this manner, which he considers regrettable.

Gen Lockech’s death, according to Kyagulanyi, warrants an independent inquiry since he, like many other prominent military generals, died of blood clots and heart attacks, leaving more questions than answers.

As a result, Kyagulanyi has asked the people of Acholi and Lockech’s family to demand that the government conduct an impartial inquiry into the reason of Lockech’s death. Gen Lockech, Mogadishu’s lion, died early Saturday morning from a blood clot caused by a tumble earlier this month, according to reports.
