On February 12, 2023, the team was led by the former Tottenham Hortspur manager, who also oversaw Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer and Edmund Addo of Spartak Subotica. Majeed Ashimeru of Anderlecht and Joseph Painstil of Genk are also on the list.

Ghana will play Angola twice this month in an effort to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Cote D’Ivoire in January of that following year.

Before to departing for Luanda on March 27, 2023, the Black Stars will host Palancras Negras at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on March 23.

With four points from two games, Ghana is tied for first place in Group E after defeating Madagascar 3-0 and drawing with the Central African Republic 1-1 in June of last year.
