Baryomunsi: Gov’t to push for land reforms despite Mmengo pressure

The Minister for data Dr. Chris Baryomunsi says government won’t yield from pushing for land changes regardless of the mounting pressure from the overall population, lawmakers and social pioneers. He demands that courses of action will be directed to the floor of parliament where a few changes are to be taken on as government faults the pioneer organization for ‘compensating’ then partners with pieces of land.

Baryomunsi’s remarks come only minutes after the Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja told media that the president had concurred that occupants keep on paying ground lease to the property managers. As per Nabbanja, that was important for the goal between the Mmengo organization and the focal government following a new gathering between Gen. Yoweri Museveni and the Kabaka of Buganda realm His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.

Anyway Baryomunsi repudiates the situation of the Prime Minister and the chief as he in a meeting with the state claimed paper New Vision says government has made a u-turn. He rather says government is to proceed with land changes notwithstanding the current pressing factor. He faults the Colonial framework for “fulfilling” some individual bosses with lumps of land to the detriment of the remainder of the populace.
