Mohammad Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana, both members of the National Unity Platform (NUP), have been denied bail.
Judge Lawrence Tweyanze of the Masaka High Court ruled on Monday that the prosecution had proven that if the two MPs were given bail, they would interfere with current investigations.
Judge Twayanze further stated that if the two are released on bond, they are likely to “abscond from the court.”
