Anita Among is NRM decision for appointee speaker

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has chosen Bukedea Woman MP Anita Among to run for agent speaker of Parliament under their banner.

The choice was taken this evening after Among arose the victor in a survey among party individuals.

Next in line MP Thomas Tayebwa is allegedly discontent with the outcome. The Ruhinda North County administrator has shown that, similar to his despondent active speaker Kadaga, he may run for the situation as a free.

Starting reports demonstrate that Among conveyed the day with 168 votes to Tayebwa’s 149 while Robinah Gureme Rwakoojo followed with just 10 votes.

Among is a relative rookie to Ugandan legislative issues however a vocal and powerful one. Her beginning in legislative issues was somewhat rough.

In two parliamentary political race cycles in 2007, when Bukedea District was made, and 2011, Among lost the District Woman Representative seat to Rose Akol of the National Resistance Movement ideological group.

A long-term individual from the resistance Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) ideological group, she ran in 2016 as a free up-and-comer. She won and is the current MP.

Among formally turned into a NRM part in 2020.

In the 2021 general races, Among was one of only a handful few lawmakers who was chosen unopposed to join the eleventh parliament.

A portion of her challengers affirmed that the electing commission impeded them from designation.

Prior to joining legislative issues, Among was a bookkeeper and bank director with Centenary Bank (1998-2006).

Thomas Bangirana Tayebwa is the chosen illustrative of Ruhinda North County in Mitooma locale. He has been the territory’s MP since 2016.

The 39-year old administrator filled in as an individual from National Economy Committee and Natural Resources Committee in the tenth parliament.
