Ancelotti Resolves Boehly Conundrum and Addresses Concerning Mudryk Message

Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed reports that he will leave Real Madrid this summer, ruling out a move to Chelsea. Frank Lampard has been named caretaker manager until the end of the season, while Todd Boehly leads the Blues’ search for a new manager.

In an interview with Radio Rai 1, the Italian insisted that he still owed the Santiago Bernabeu a contract. After returning to the club for a second spell in charge in 2021, his contract in Madrid will expire at the end of next season.

He said: “There’s a nice saying which is just right: the wind carries away the chatter. And that’s it, I have a contract until June 30, 2024 and I’d like to respect it.”

Mykhailo Mudryk has struggled to live up to his price tag at Chelsea, according to Frank Lampard. Peter Schmeichel insisted on Premier League Productions that Chelsea must be patient with Mudryk, claiming that the atmosphere and dressing room shambles are not helping the Ukrainian. The former Manchester United player stated: “It was a lot of money spent with no results.

Mudryk was, for me, a big one. I have seen him play for Shakhtar in the Champions League a few times and he has been absolutely outstanding. But, of course, they play in a different style and they play in a different way.

The Chelsea dressing room doesn’t work. There isn’t a good atmosphere there. Too many players in there, who have brought in on promises, then they look around and there are 35 of them. Only 11 can play, so why am I not playing.”

Simon’s word of caution

Marciano Vink has warned Xavi Simons against joining Chelsea or returning to PSG in the summer. The 19-year-old has recently been heavily linked with a move away from the Eredivisie as he continues to impress for PSV Eindhoven.

Speaking on Dutch TV show Veronica Inside, Vink said: “He radiates a lot of fun and just keeps going. I was jokingly wondering if you can outgrow the Eredivisie within a year, but Simons proves it from the start and is decisive at PSV.

“I hope he stays after this season. If he were to go to Chelsea or return to Paris Saint-Germain, he would get much less playing time and his development would stagnate. Then you better go to a modest club in the Champions League where you can still be the man.

“Couldn’t a club like Benfica be a next step for him? Napoli, or Borussia Dortmund? He can be challenged there again. Just look at Noni Madueke. That was such a great talent at PSV and when he left everyone spoke about a big loss for PSV. But then he chooses Chelsea, and it’s nothing. Simons is best off going somewhere where he doesn’t have to deal with 34 competing players.”
