Against Atwine dissenters case pushed to January

The Law Development Center (LDC) Magistrate Court has pushed to January the case where two individuals are blamed for affecting brutality by dropping a coffin requesting the prompt abdication of the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health, Dr. Diana Atwine for purportedly misusing COVID-19 reaction reserves.

Augustine Ojobile and Sharif Kawooya were captured in August from Kasubi and Kawempe individually.

The casket had bulletins with words assaulting Dr. Atwine. “Coronavirus isn’t a benefit adventure,” read on one of the notices. In September, the two suspects were delivered on bail.

On Thursday, Joy Apolot, the State Attorney let the court know that the state needs more opportunity to complete examinations concerning the case. She mentioned a suspension until examinations are finished.

Nonetheless, Ojobile and Kawooya discredited the deferred becoming aware of the case. Ojobile additionally let the court know that Kawempe police seized his telephone worth 600,000 Shillings when he was captured. He requested that the court request the police to return the telephone.

However, Apolot encouraged the blamed to submit a proper question with verification that the telephone was taken.

Equity Alule Augustine, the LDC Court Magistrate dismissed the case to January 11, and requested the arraignment to assist the examinations.
