After a suspected bomb incident on a bus, one person was killed and many more were injured.

Following a suspected bomb burst in a bus along the Kampala-Masaka route, one person died on the scene and a few others were injured.

An explosion in a Swift bus occurred along the busy route on Monday evening.

Muwanga Kityo, the Greater Bushenyi Regional Police Commander, is alleged to have been among the passengers on the bus.

The incident’s details are still sketchy, but authorities have vowed to publish a statement.

The news comes just two days after a bomb attack on a restaurant in Komamboga, a Kampala suburb, killed one person and injured three more.

It was later classified as a domestic terror assault by security officials.
