Abiriga family bothered by Tibuhaburwa unfulfilled pledges

The President promised to build a commercial building and to give UGX 50 million to the family SACCO since their breadwinner had been killed

The relatives and family to the slain Arua municipality legislator, Ibrahim Abiriga have cried out following the persistent denial of life and commercial basics as pledged by president Museveni three years ago when the yellow fanatic was being laid to rest. Abiriga was killed by unknown assailants who sprayed bullets at his yellow vehicle as he returned to his residence in Kawanda, Wakiso district. Abiriga and his elder brother died in the shoot out.

Three years down the road, Abiriga’s family remains uncertain about the future of the children the deceased used to fend for. It turns out that most of the children have even failed to advance with their academics as the family struggles to raise the money to sustain them in school. The widows decry the dire situations they endure even when Museveni pledged to over some relief to support the family. President Museveni made the pledges on the 10th of June 2018 during the burial of the slain MP.

The President promised to build a commercial building and to give UGX 50 million to the family SACCO since their breadwinner had been killed. The family adds that they have failed to receive relief funds meant to take care of the family during this pandemic and implore the government to follow it up.
