A CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE: Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

Have you ever tried to write a movie review but couldn’t keep your excitement in check?

That was a CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE, in my opinion. This film was fantastic; it evoked a lot of memories for me. I should feel ashamed that I chose to wait for the soft copy to be released.

After Mysterio reveals his true identity to the world, Peter Parker/Tom Holland panics, as shown in the trailer. Doctor Strange is approached to cast a spell to undo the same, but the Sorcerer Supreme’s attempt to bend the multiverse divides, bringing all sorts of beings from other worlds into the MCU-verse, fails. Isn’t that a great trailer?

Let’s get started right now. I can’t think of a single scene in that film that I didn’t enjoy. First and foremost, DARE DEVIL!! OMG. I wasn’t prepared for that portion at all; all I knew was that this was going to be the best movie of the year.

Aunt May, poor Aunt May, she had a nice run, but I feel like her death was inescapable, given how Tobey lost his uncle Ben in the first Spiderman films.

Everyone thought Tobey and Garfield would be in the film before it was released, but I was not prepared for them.

When I spotted Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in the theater, I let out a scream!!!! It’s not every day that you get to relive your childhood favorites.

The manner in which they enter, the jokes…

Don’t even get me started on the chats the three of them had; it was great and very hilarious…

The scene during the fight when MJ fell and Andrew’s Spider-Man caught her, the chillssss…

He couldn’t save his Gwen, but at the very least he could save Holland’s MJ. It was a sight to behold. IT WAS A SPECTACULAR MOMENT, and the audience erupted in applause.

Classic villains like Doc Oc, Green Goblin, Electro, Lizard, and Sandman performed admirably in their roles.

It was a nice ending, bitter-sweet. We got to see our favourite characters all over again. I can only hope Tom gets to be friends with Ned and MJ again.

I cannot forget how incredible Doctor Strange was, what a performance from Benedict Cumberbatch right from the time he messes up the spell, all throughout the entire movie. He’s got jokes that one.

That post credit scene left me asking myself a lot of questions, is there going to be another Spiderman? we can only hope. Tom Hardy/ Venom leaving part of that black goo at the bar counter as well should be really interesting in the next movies to come.

Overall, one of the greatest MCU movies ever made. It gets a solid 10.
