The 5th Kampala Geopolitics Conference begins on November 15th.

The sixth Kampala Geopolitics Conference is slated for the 15th and 16th of November at Makerere University's Yusuf Lule Central Teaching Facility Auditorium.

The sixth Kampala Geopolitics Conference is slated for the 15th and 16th of November at Makerere University’s Yusuf Lule Central Teaching Facility Auditorium.

The conference is sponsored by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), the French Embassy in Uganda, UN Women, Makerere University, the Alliance Francaise Kampala, and the Institut de Relations Internationales et Strategiques (IRIS).

It has finally arrived! The French Embassy in Uganda tweeted on November 9, 2022, that the 5th Edition of the Kampala Geopolitics conference 2022 will begin the following week on November 15, 2022, hosted by @Makerere in proud partnership with @UN Women @AFKampala & @KasUganda.

The conference features worldwide discussions on the African continent and provides a forum for the free exchange of geopolitical ideas.

The event will commence on November 14 with a Twitter Space to address “Forum Generation Equality – Countering the worldwide backlash against women’s rights thought leaders across Africa” as well as health, security, and environmental preservation.

The event will also include cultural activities, such as a photography display.

The two-day academic public event is modeled after the “Geopolitics of Nantes” event in France.

This year’s event will feature 14 roundtables on a wide range of issues, including global concerns, security, regional trends, sustainable development, sport, culture, and society.

The KGC is a high-level conference that provides an interactive forum for discourse and free exchange on topical, regional, and global concerns in order to bring global debates to the African stage.
