2 Thugs drown with stolen pig on Lake Victoria
Trouble begun when the 2 thugs were spotted stealing a pig belonging to one of the locals identified as Sam Okwalinga on Monday evening.
Locals at the Buleebi landing site, Mpunge sub-county in Mukono district have expressed satisfaction after 2 Pig thieves drowned in Lake Victoria while trying to escape.
The locals claim the 2 serial thugs have been behind the theft of properties in the village including boat engines, fishing nets, and animals.
The deceased are Abdallah Maiso Waicha and Peter Badaaza both fishermen and residents of Buleebi landing site, Mpunge sub-county.
Trouble begun when the 2 thugs were spotted stealing a pig belonging to one of the locals identified as Sam Okwalinga on Monday evening.
Okwalinga sounded an alarm that attracted a huge crowd.
An irate crowd formed and started pursuing them with huge stones and clubs ,prompting the 2 to flee for their safety.
They succeeded at leaving the the site with the stolen pig to the lake shores were they jumped into a canoe that was on stand by and stated to paddle away.
However before they could reach far,the canoe capsized ,drowning both men and the pig.
The locals who had no kind words for the deceased say it gave them pleasure to watch the thugs drown to death.
The bodies of the deceased were retrieved by fishermen on Monday evening at about 7pm.
